Welcoming the Ducks to The Lodge

Three Blue Ducks will bring their renowned dining experience to the heart of Bellingen on the NSW mid north coast, opening Three Blue Ducks Bellingen at The Lodge in 2023.

Three Blue Ducks will operate the restaurant within The Lodge which is set across 16 acres of manicured gardens and nestled between Bellingen’s rainforest and surf beaches. The restaurant will showcase the Ducks approach to simple, ethically sourced real food, that the team are famous for.

Chef and owners Darren Robertson and Andy Allen are working with local producers and farming regions to source ingredients and produce for the breakfast, lunch, dinner and function menus. The beverage list will feature a strong list of local NSW wines and beers, as well as coffee from long-standing Three Blue Ducks partner, Single O. 

Darren says: “Sustainability and ethically sourced produce is a primary focus for us and this ethos will continue with our menu offering in Bellingen. The area and its surroundings is a melting pot of different flavours, ideas and innovative ways of presenting food, which makes Bello a must-visit location for food lovers.”

Three Blue Ducks Bellingen will work alongside The Lodge, catering to weddings and private events as well as general restaurant dining.

Three Blue Ducks is a place for lovers of real food in a relaxed setting. The concept launched in September 2010 as a venture between mates for a restaurant to provide amazing food and friendly service. Originating as a humble café in Bronte, enamored locals soon turned Three Blue Ducks into an institution. Demand quickly led to an extended offering, growing the space and including dinner service. With years of cooking experience, Three Blue Ducks champion sustainability and ethically farmed produce, using the best in local produce to create dishes with a profusion of flavour. Three Blue Ducks now exist as five iterations, including: The Farm Byron Bay, Rosebery, Brisbane within the W Hotel, Nimbo Fork Lodge in regional NSW and the newest at URBNSURF in Melbourne’s Tullamarine. All fully licensed venues source only the best quality in organic, fair-trade, local and sustainable products.
